Academics

Our Programs

Program Overview

At Kitutu Masaba Technical and Vocational College, we offer a wide range of technical and vocational programs designed to equip trainees with competency-based, practical, and industry-relevant skills. Our training pathways are flexible and inclusive, enabling learners at different academic levels to advance their careers or start their own enterprises.

Our programs are structured as follows:

CBET Modular Programs

These are Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) programs accredited by TVET CDACC. Training is organized in modules of employable skills, allowing trainees to progress at their own pace — from Artisan (Level 3–4), Craft Certificate (Level 5), to Diploma (Level 6). Each module combines theory, practical training, and industrial exposure, ensuring graduates are competent and ready for the job market or self-employment.

NITA Short Courses

We are accredited by NITA to offer artisan-level trade test courses. These short, skill-based programs are ideal for learners seeking hands-on training and national certification in their chosen trades.

Training & Innovation

Key Thematic Areas of Training at KMTVC

At Kitutu Masaba Technical and Vocational College, our training is structured around key thematic areas that promote competency, innovation, and employability. Each theme ensures that trainees gain both technical proficiency and life skills needed to thrive in today’s dynamic world of work.

Environmental Sustainability and Safety

Training emphasizes safe working practices, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility — key values for sustainable development in all technical fields.

Public Health & Occupational Safety

At KMTVC we emphasize public health awareness and occupational safety across all training programs. Trainees are equipped with essential knowledge and practices on hygiene, sanitation, first aid, waste management, and workplace safety standards.

Entrepreneurship and Life Skills Training

All trainees receive entrepreneurship, guidance and counselling, financial literacy, and communication skills training to prepare them for business start-ups and professional growth.

Innovation and Technology Integration

We promote creativity and innovation by encouraging trainees to design and implement projects that solve local and industrial challenges. ICT and emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools, are integrated into learning.

Hands-on Sessions

At Kitutu Masaba Technical and Vocational College, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our competence-based training emphasizes hands-on skills, creativity, and innovation, ensuring that every trainee gains practical experience aligned with industry standards.

Practical learning is at the heart of our programs. Trainees spend most of their time in workshops, laboratories, and field environments, where they practice, test, and perfect their skills under the guidance of qualified trainers.
