Kitutu Masaba TVC Unveils New State-of-the-Art Dining Hall, Transforming the Student Experience

Kitutu Masaba Technical and Vocational College has taken a significant leap forward in campus life and student welfare with the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Main Dining Hall. This facility is designed to provide a modern, comfortable, and efficient dining experience, supporting the well-being and community spirit of our students.

The launch event, attended by college leadership, faculty, students, and special guests, showcased the hall’s new features, including live cooking demonstrations by the culinary team, tastings of the new menu, and tours of the new facilities.


Inside the Dining Hall

  • Spacious Main Servery with multiple live cooking stations, including a dedicated “Jiko Live” for local staples, a bakery counter, and a continental cuisine station.
  • Modern Seating Area designed with a variety of seating options, from collaborative group tables to quiet booths for individual study and relaxation.
  • Integrated Kitchen equipped with industrial-grade, energy-efficient appliances for bulk food preparation, ensuring hygiene and consistency.
  • Sustainability & Hygiene Bay featuring a modern multi-stage cleaning system and dedicated areas for waste segregation and composting.

“Our goal is to nourish students not just with quality food, but with an environment that fosters community and well-being,” said Mr. James nyakundi, principal of the institution.


Campus Integration

The new dining hall is centrally located to serve all students and staff. Its operational hours have been extended to accommodate different academic schedules, and it will serve as the primary venue for college-wide events and cultural celebrations.


Health & Nutrition Partnerships

Kitutu Masaba TVC has partnered with local farms for a steady supply of fresh, nutritious produce and with certified nutritionists to develop balanced and diverse menus that cater to various dietary needs.

“With a facility like this, we are committed to ensuring that students have access to affordable, healthy meals that fuel their academic and practical pursuits,” Mr.Nyakundi added.


Community Access

The dining hall will also be available to host external events, such as workshops, conferences, and community gatherings, strengthening Kitutu Masaba TVC’s role as a vibrant hub for the wider community.
